Does Marie Dean Soap?

Many customers have asked me if I make soap.  Yes, I do.  I had a lengthy conversation with a customer the other day about soap making and I told her I have over 100 recipes.  She asked if I could start selling soap on my websites.  Here’s the thing… I don’t like making soap in the same workspace that I make my hair and body products.  Until I’m able to secure a larger working space, I’ll then include soaps on my website.  Sorry guys but it looks like you’ll have to wait a little longer. I’ll definitely keep you posted.

What's going on....

I'm busy with the Pre-Halloween sale this week!  A big thanks to everyone who ordered.  I will have another sale on the mariedeanonline.com site once the new design is completed.  In the upcoming weeks, I plan to experiment with some sugar scrub recipes I created a while back.  I’m hoping to have a few selling by early next year!

Natural hair health or length?

I had been relaxing my hair for over 20 years and had dreadful thin hair.  So, when I became natural I was in awe of my hair, it was extremely healthy and I started to gain some thickness.  My only worry was keeping my hair healthy.  I think the reason why many women have a hard time going natural is because we tend to get over-involved in the length of our hair and we lose focus on keeping our hair healthy, which is important.  Long hair doesn’t make you look any better.  You may find it easier to style your hair when it’s longer but you also have to learn how to work with shorter hair and be patient.  If your hair grows long, cool.  If it doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world.  Healthy hair triumphs over long hair any day.
